NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONSRebecca Reynolds initially founded RRC to serve the growing demand for her work after she ended an accomplished career in executive management of million dollar-plus nonprofit organizations.
Rebecca entered the nonprofit arena in Denver during the economic downturn of the ‘80s. Starting in the development department of the then 3-year old Opera Colorado, after 18 months, Rebecca was promoted to director of the department. She built the department into a major fundraising operation, created award-winning programming, was instrumental in the retirement of the company's $1 million debt and in building the board of directors. After four years at the opera, Rebecca was recruited by Colorado Ballet to become its CEO. At the Ballet, Rebecca again built the development department, implemented the 30th Anniversary campaign, doubled Nutcracker ticket sales, all of which put the company on a growth trajectory. After these achievements, Rebecca recognized that her interests and abilities were uniquely suited to the dynamics of change, and that she could contribute more to the nonprofit arena on her own. In 1991, she founded RRC with the mission of leadership development and institution building for nonprofits. RRC clients soon expanded from the arts to include health, education, human services, and the environment. RRC has served hundreds of nonprofit organizations of all sizes and in all disciplines, always with the same outcome: to increase leadership capability and institutional effectiveness in support of mission achievements. As a pioneer in management consulting for nonprofits, Rebecca became a leading expert in the field and created the Nonprofit Know-How Series to address fundamental nonprofit management topics, including board development, planning, fundraising and more. This highly practical knowledge is available in a two volume set: The Nonprofit-KnowHow Guide and Workbook. |
